St Nicholas Southfleet 10:30 am service

For some people going anywhere for the first time can be a bit of a nerve-racking experience. To help avoid any worries here's a quick summary of what you can expect at St Nicholas’. First of all we aren't super-spiritual beings, we all had a 'first day' at church, and you’ll find we are a friendly bunch; if you don't understand something please simply ask. We do run a special programme for children in parallel with the main service and if you have children with you someone from the children’s church will invite the children to join them. Children are also free to stay with parents if they so choose.

We are aware that children do not like to sit still for ages so do let them move around if they need to – no-one will be surprised – we’re used to children in the church.

We have a talk from the Bible that is relevant and meaningful to our modern lives.

We finish our morning service around 11:15am, with tea and coffee. Our aim is that whether you are just looking into Christianity for the first time or have been a Christian for many years that you should be encouraged and inspired by the morning. We hope that everyone will draw closer to God.

If you are interested in exploring the Christian faith then please come along on a Sunday. Our Sunday services follow the pattern of ‘same place same time every Sunday’. We do however vary the form of some of our services over the month.  The Sunday Services are as shown on the previous page.

St Nicholas’ is always open to people of all ages and abilities. A friendly arm or helping hand is offered to the less able. We also have large print hymn books and service sheets and a hearing loop in our modern sound system.

There is a wheelchair ramp into the church and toilet access which is narrow but help is always available.

Children of all ages are welcome at all services but the 10:30am service at Southfleet is particularly geared for children. There is always either a children’s space in the church or the whole service is geared around children. Bring your children to meet Jesus in God's house.

The children’s club is held at the back of the church during morning service times with child-friendly and age-appropriate activities which tie in with the adult service. We welcome all children – no pre-booking required:Ages 0-4 – welcome with a parent if required then older children 4+ up to young teens who enjoy helping the younger children as they learn and have fun themselves.
