Harvest Thanksgiving Service. Donations are for the food bank (Hive Hope).

Bring and share harvest lunch. Please give names to churchwardens ASAP.
31st OCTOBER, HALLOWEEN, MONDAY 10:00am
Spooky stories in the Graveyard – Sedleys Assembly. Parents invited and refreshments provided. This would need to have a small volunteer team as it is a special interactive assembly.
This is yet to be confirmed with the school.
Samaritan’s Purse, SHOEBOX APPEAL: A Shoebox gift is an expression of God’s love to a child. In fact, it may be the only gift a child receives. So you are invited to fill a shoebox. To make it easier this year the Samaritans have given us flat packed shoeboxes for you to make and fill. These can be found at the back of church with a leaflet that has all the information you need. The filled shoeboxes are going to be collected from St. Nicholas church on Sunday 6th November.

The annual children’s day was held in the church with the theme of Jonah and the whale.
Easter
2nd March 2022 at 10.30am - Ash Wednesday service.
There is a lent study course to be held at St. Barnabas on Thursdays, to which all are welcome. Contact the Churchwardens for more details. Then the
Thursday 14th April 2022 - Maundy Thursday service at St. Barnabas, Istead Rise
Friday 15th April 2022 - The Good Friday service will be at St. Nicholas

The Church was so beautifully decorated with flowers for Easter Day. Thank you to Jenny and all those who provided such beautiful displays.

Children’s Activity Day in the Church
Our Children’s Activity Day was held on 25th July in the Church and this year our theme was Noah’s Ark. We were so pleased that 22 children joined us for the day, including some pre-school children accompanied by their parents/carer’s. We had a range of related activities including painting a big, bright rainbow, making animal masks, making and sailing boats, brass rubbing, and some cookery. We all joined in with singing and drama and had fun with an Egg Drop and Treasure Hunt.
At the end of the day, when parents came to collect them, the children performed the story of Noah’s Ark wearing the masks they had made.
We had a wonderful day and many thanks go to the Sunday Club Team and members of the PCC who helped make the day such a success.

Welcome Back Barbecue
The 'Welcome Back BBQ' was held on Sunday 5th September. The sun was shining and all those who attended had a lovely time catching up, enjoying the sunshine and each other's company whilst enjoying picnics and BBQ.
