Christmas Fair
On 19th November 2017 we held our annual Christmas Fair. It was a wonderful day enjoyed by all. We had a fabulous array of stalls, a barbecue, tea and coffee with mince pies and gorgeous cakes. Our stalls ranged from handmade Christmas decorations and cards, Judy's traditional Christmas Fair Fudge (no event at St Nicholas would be complete without it!) and coconut ice, a stunning array of homemade cakes, plants, White Elephant (with some treasures to be found!), stylish pebble art, handmade candles, homemade chili jam, stunning Christmas cakes, tombolas, a grand raffle with some wonderful prizes, vintage cups and saucers (filled with chocolates), a whole room full of teddy bears and toys, and you could even buy bags of magical reindeer food - yes, really - an essential for Christmas and you can't even buy that at Bluewater! Thank you to everyone, helpers, stall holders and customers who made the day such a success.
We raised in excess of £1301. Thank you very much to everyone who played a part in the day.

Harvest Supper 2017
On Saturday 23rd September we held our Harvest Supper in the village hall. Seventy-five people attended and what a happy evening we had! We enjoyed a three course meal - chicken casserole with vegetables and new potatoes, a selection of delicious puddings, and cheese and biscuits. We had a lovely raffle with lots of happy winners! Then we were entertained - singers, comedians (Irish and Yorkshire!!), actors, and jokers! There was a lot of laughter and we look forward to next year's.
Arts Festival 2017
Over the August bank holiday weekend we held an Arts Festival. The weekend kicked off with a concert in the Church with Steve Lauri from sixties band The Hollies. About 130 people attended and Steve performed songs mostly from the 50s and 60s including many of the Hollies hits. We sang, and in some cases danced, along and a thoroughly good evening was had.
Over the weekend we welcomed several hundred people to the Festival - enjoying the Art exhibition and musical events, and not to forget our tea room. We had a wide range of pictures on display both from members of the church and local artists. We also had visiting musicians and singers to entertain us. The whole weekend was a great success.
Strawberry Fayre
In July we held our Strawberry Fayre, the sun shone (well, mostly!) and we shopped for bargains, home made cards, fudge and marshmallows, delicious homemade cakes, joined in fun games, and indulged in strawberries and cream. And we had our traditional barbeque of course!
